Walls, Hood, Lansford, Clay, Sadler to Be Installed as Association Officers

Matt Walls of Winston Custom Homes will be installed as the 83rd president of the Dallas Builders Association Oct. 3 during ceremonies to be held at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.

The annual Installation of Leadership is presented in partnership with StrucSure Home Warranty.
Landon Hood of HistoryMaker Homes will become the first vice president.

Tim Lansford, CAPS, CGA, CGB, CGR, CGP, GMB, CMP, CSP, GSP, MCGP, MIRM, MCSP, of Luxury Homes of Texas is the newest officer on the ladder, assuming the role of vice president/secretary.

Chris Clay of 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty has been elected associate vice president, and Tom Sadler of Tom Sadler and Associates will continue his term as treasurer.

All officers serve oneyear terms except the treasurer, who serves for two years.

The Installation of Leadership will also feature presentation of some of the Dallas BA’s most prestigious awards. The Hugh Prather Trophy is given annually to the builder, remodeler or developer member who has done the most for the betterment of the community and the industry.

The Clyde Anderson Associate of the Year Award recognizes an associate member’s contributions to and support of the Dallas BA. The Shorty Howard Trophy will be presented to the year’s top membership recruiter.
The event will feature music by Emerald City Band.

Tickets are $150 per person through Sept. 22 and can be purchased at DallasBuilders.org. Tables of 8 are available.

Being sworn into office will be the 2025-2026 Board of Directors. These include elected directors Colin Byrne, GFO Home; Doug Bowerman, Susser Bank; Joshua Correa, CSB, CAPS, CGB, CGR, CSP, GMB, Divino Homes; Shawna Guevara, Landmark Structural Builders; Dave Hambley, Lee Lighting; Bob Hansen, Garvey Homes; Jordyn Jones, Taylor Morrison; Erica McLain, McLain by Design Interiors; Richard Miller, GMB, Richard Miller Custom Homes; and Jake Murillo, V Luxury Homes.

Other elected directors are Jerry Parks, Traditional Classic Homes; Greg Paschall, Richardson Ready Electric; John Ratley, Rooster General Contractors; Adam Sumrow, Republic Elite Multifamily Interiors; Jesus Walls, The Home Depot; Vickie Wattanapongwat, Preserve Custom Homes; and Brian Webster, KWA Construction.

Appointed directors include builders Adam Auensen, Tonti Properties; Kevin Cazares, KCI Development; and
Molly Melo, M/I Homes of DFW.

Associate appointees are Jessica Goehring, Hotchkiss Insurance; GregKaplan, SIKA RMAX; and Kelsey Taylor, Allen Boone Humphries Robinson.

Additionally, the presidents of Dallas BA divisions and chairs of its councils will serve on the board.

Chairs of certain committees will also serve on the Board. Newly elected as an Honored Life Director is Phil Smith, FACETS Appliances, Kitchens & Baths.
